Album of the Week

Shout Out Louds -  Work

Back with their third album, this Swedish band delivers an excellent, solid record from start to finish.  They deserve more attention than they get.  I fell in love with them instantly after hearing their first record, Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, a must own if you like straight up indie pop rock.  They remind me of Buffalo Tom or Idlewild in that they make brilliant, but not flashy, albums that tend to have been overlooked. RIYL - Guitar/Bass/Drums, some acoustic, some cow bells, lots of catchy harmonizing vocals.   Every song is good, there aren't any throwaways.  I think they get overlooked because there isn't anything unique about them, which is too bad.  Writing good catchy songs just isn't enough these days to get noticed, so I'm asking you to notice them.

You can download a couple free remixes of their songs and the single "walls" from their website.  The Passion Pit remix is the better of the two.
